Casual games are games which can be played without any special skill being acquired and there are no hard and fast rules to be followed. All that is needed is plenty of interest and enthusiasm to pay casual games. Millions of people all over the world are playing these games either online or through game consoles or even on their cell phones. This you can see from the number of people who constantly download games on to their cell phones and are seen playing in many public places.

You certainly don’t need gaming skills to play these games and as you keep playing the games you will find that you are improving steadily. But these games can always turn out to be addictive as once you are hooked on to the game then you will find that you would end up wanting more.

There are different types of casual games which can be classified under categories like Puzzle games, Word games, party video games, Seek and Hide games or Hidden object games as the more popularly known, strategy games, Card games, and Action games. Each of the games has an idea behind them and the genre of the casual games vary according to the idea.

In the genre of casual games, you will find puzzle games like Sudoko, Tetris, and Match -3 etc are great favorites among many people all over the world. In puzzle games, the player’s logical thinking gets enhanced when the game is played within a certain time limit. In matching games, the player is expected to match identical pieces in the playing field. Once matched the identical pieces are removed from the playing field and the player scores a point. The game ends when all the pieces are matched. In word games which are another big category of casual games, the player has to form words using the letters in the playing field. Here playing word games help the player to hone in on his or her writing skills and spelling.

Another genre of casual games which is a hot favorite among millions is the Hidden object games or seek and find games which are currently the craze of many people. All the hidden objects games have an interesting story line and playing the game only brings in lots of excitement. In hidden objects games the player is expected to locate the hidden objects in a complex scene. People who love mysteries and like to play detective find these hide and seek games very intriguing and interesting. The Mystery case Files games is a great example of these hidden object games which has won the hearts of thousands of fans.

Another genre of casual games is card games and board games like chess, billiards, Mahjong and checkers. These can be classified as traditional games. You can also play sports games like football, cricket, tennis, and golf. You can find all these genres of casual games on the internet from the various websites which have specially created for gaming buffs.
