The predecessor Windows XP and Windows Vista has been beaten by Windows 7 as the release of benchmark test based on performance, stability, speed, loading time, office applications, networking, video editing etc,.

Features Of Windows 7
Windows 7 comprise of many new features like improved speed while booting and shutdown, advanced kernel core, trendy new icons, new storage system (WinFS) and supports Direct X 10. It comes with a big taskbar for easy access. Windows 7 has included a Jump List which allows the user to easily access the common files. The icons in the taskbar can easily be rearranged with drag and drop function. A button called Aero peek is incorporated to show desktop icon instantly. The Windows 7 is packed with many other basic components like Windows Media Player 12, Internet Explorer 8, Windows Search, Windows Media Center and an advanced calculator. The user has the ability to enable or disable any feature of the windows component. It is also enabled with extreme graphic support for 3D games and video playback. The other unique feature of the new Windows 7 comes with virtual PC that enables the user with different windows environment, to run other operating systems on the same machine. With this option a user can run Windows 7 at the same time run Windows XP in the virtual mode. It also supports Virtual Hard Drive.

Although few notable components like Windows Movie Maker, Photo Gallery, Classic Start Menu, Calendar and Mailing System that are featured in Windows Vista, have been removed from the Windows 7. But these are made available to the users via Windows Live Essential package.

Windows 7 will be released in 6 editions including Premium and Professional edition. Many Windows aspirants are eagerly awaiting the release of Windows 7. The Microsoft has announced that the new operating system will be available for public on October 2009. Moreover the beta version Windows 7 has already being leaked in many torrents. Windows 7 is sure gonna attract more users to lean its side.
