Now these dentistry disciplines are practiced such way, so that the children are not feared at all. The dentists usually perform
the following disciplines before applying any kind of drugs on the patient to make the dentistry session pleasant -


  • After using the ‘numbing gel’ to the gum to decrease the sense of the needle, the dentists use the body-temperature local anesthetics in the needle so acutely that you can feel them hardly.



  • The dentists now use ‘slow injection’ techniques to avoid any kind of pain and pressure.



  • While applying ‘roof of the mouth’ injections, the dentists use to rub the skin of the particular place for about 30 seconds to create a temporary numbness. The needle is hardly felt then.



  • In these days, the anesthetics the dentists use have the penetration power. So it is not necessary to use the injections in case of curing the problems of black teeth.



  • Before start proceeding, dentists ensure that the things are numb completely, so that there are no sensations.


The dentists use various ‘sedation’ techniques in these days. Sedation techniques are very much important in case of the cosmetic dentistry and periodontal therapy. Dentists make things comfortable for the patients using the oral pre-medications like the nitrous oxide gas, Diazepam or some other Intravenous sedation. The oral route is the best way to decrease the sensations of anxiety. So patients try this technique so often. On other hand, the sedation through the nitrous oxide gas provides nice control on anxiety along with the feeling of joy.

But, the Intravenous Sedation is known as the ultimate level of Sedation. In case of the Intravenous Sedation, fine needle is put inside the vein of the patient and the relaxation sets in within minutes. The dentists also use IV Sedation in these days to provide the pain-free treatments to the patients. Patients suffer temporary amnesia in case of the IV Sedation and dentists find the situation easy for the treatment.

The third type of sedation technique is called the Intranasal Sedation. This technique of sedation is very much useful for the people scared of needles. The drug is introduces in the human body through the nose and it proceeds like the IV Sedation.

The dentists are discovering lots of new techniques to provide the pain-free and pleasant treatments to the patients. Now there is nothing to be afraid about the dentists and dental clinics. Visit dental clinic at least 2 or three times a year and keep your teeth healthy.
