1. Get the Search Engine Ranking that Will Get You Noticed

A search engine optimization strategy will allow you to make the most of the search engines. Without paying for search engine services, you can increase your ranking by using keywords effectively throughout your site. It is easier to achieve a high ranking with some keywords than with others. If you start with a less popular keyword, you may have an easier time climbing to the top of the search. You can also improve your rankings by having links in bound from other sites.

2. Encourage Links

You can get more web site traffic by contacting similar sites and working out link swaps. Many sites are happy to put a link on their site if you are willing to do the same for them. Contact the site and request the link swap and you will not only gain traffic from their site, but it can give you a higher ranking with the search engines.

Providing free content to other web sites with a link back to your site is another great way to get more people to your site.

You can also try to add your link to local directories, trade organizations, or other associations that you are involved with.

3. Pay for Advertisement

Of course you would rather get free advertising, but you may find that it pays off to put some money into your marketing strategy. By placing ads or banners in an appropriate place, you may get that target market you have been after.
